Does PomoDeck work without a Logitech device?

Yes. PomoDeck is a full standalone desktop Pomodoro timer. The Logitech plugin is optional and adds physical buttons, LCD widgets, and haptic feedback.

Do I need the app if I only want the plugin?

No. The plugin runs the timer on its own. The app adds flow scoring, distraction blocking, statistics, tasks on the console, and the Pomo Jar. Install both for the full experience.

I bought from the Microsoft Store — how do I get Pro?

Pro is sold through our own checkout, not the Microsoft Store. After purchase you receive a license key by email. Enter it in the app under Settings, then Subscription. The Store and standalone builds both accept the same key.

Is PomoDeck an AI Pomodoro planner?

Accepted Answer

Yes, among other things. It is a full Pomodoro focus timer, and it ships a local Model Context Protocol server so an AI assistant can act as your day planner: reading what is already scheduled, checking a proposed day against what you normally finish on that weekday, and writing tasks in with estimates and subtasks. The planning happens in your assistant; the timing and the record happen in PomoDeck. The AI side is optional and the timer works with no assistant and no network.

Can an AI plan my day and track whether I did it?

That is the intended workflow. Your assistant shapes the day and writes it onto your timer, then PomoDeck records what actually ran, how long each session lasted and how focused it was, all on your own machine. Because an assistant cannot start, pause or skip the timer, the history is evidence rather than a claim, and the next plan can be made against it instead of against optimism.

Can I connect PomoDeck to Claude or another AI assistant?

Yes. PomoDeck includes a Model Context Protocol server, so any MCP client — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code — can read your tasks, schedule and focus pattern and put work on your timer. Open Settings, then Integrations, and pair a client to get a token. The server runs on 127.0.0.1 on your own machine and is not reachable from the internet. PomoDeck has to be running for the connection to work.

What can an AI assistant actually do to my PomoDeck?

It can read your tasks, schedule, focus pattern and day capacity, and it can create, edit, schedule, complete and delete tasks. It cannot start, pause or skip your timer — that is deliberate, so no session in your history can be fabricated. Anything that reshapes more than a day arrives as a proposal with a diff you approve or decline, and you can undo an approved plan afterwards. Pairing and reading are free on every plan; letting an assistant make changes needs Pro.

Does connecting an assistant send my data anywhere?

PomoDeck itself sends nothing. The connection is a local server on 127.0.0.1 that only accepts requests from your own machine, and access needs a token you generate and can revoke. What your assistant does with what it reads is governed by that assistant’s own privacy policy — if it runs in the cloud, the task titles it reads go to its servers, the same as anything else you type into it.

What is flow scoring?

A live 0 to 100 score for the quality of the current session. It climbs while you stay in focus and drops when you pause, go idle, or get pulled away. Six named levels run from Sleeping up to Deep Flow at 85 and above.

How does website blocking work?

PomoDeck runs a local proxy configuration on your own machine and points your browser at it during focus rounds. Blocked sites show a focus page instead of loading. No admin rights are needed and everything unblocks when your break starts.

Does my data leave my computer?

Sessions, tasks, and statistics are stored locally in a database on your machine. Nothing is uploaded. License checks and update checks are the only network calls the app makes.

Free covers the whole daily habit: the timer, flow scoring and session grades, unlimited tasks, unlimited website and app blocking, your Pomo Jar and streak, and the last 7 days of history. Pro adds memory and power — your complete history, any date on the calendar, the yearly heatmap, the Eisenhower Matrix and priority sort, custom sounds, all themes and languages, and letting an AI assistant change your plan. Pro is $12 a year, which works out at $1 a month, or $24 once for a lifetime licence. There is also a $2.99 monthly plan if you would rather not commit.

Every install starts with 14 days of full Pro access. No card, no account, nothing to cancel. When it ends nothing you recorded is deleted — the history views narrow to the last 7 days until you buy Pro.
